Dunalister Hotel, Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire

More and more clients are asking me to photograph their wedding in the reportage style to build a story of the wedding day. This is a skill in itself which is a progression from traditional wedding photography which tended to be more formal in approach. As a reportage photographer you need to be constantly alert and on the look out for photographic opportunities throughout the day. The following photographs are an illustration of the style which some call photo journalistic. They were taken inside the Dunalister Hotel in the village of Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire by Greg Forbes

Outdoor Wedding in the Highlands

On the lawns of the Isles of Glencoe hotel in the village of Ballachulish I took advantage of the driest May on record to mix wedding and landscape photography. Thanks to Alan and Hazel and their guests for giving me the opportunity to capture their wedding photos.

An outdoor wedding and not a Midge in sight.

Stunning Wedding Flowers with Loch Leven in the background

The ability to work with and relate to kids is one of the key skills for any wedding photographer. If you win their trust you get the opportunity to capture stunning informal photographs of them at play during the day.

Just Joined Blog Land

Hi and welcome to my blog. I have been meaning to get a blog together for ages but never really found the time. Although this blog is linked to my website http://www.gregforbesphotography.com/ it will keep you updated with what I am up to in the photographic world. I still have some free dates for weddings in 2008 and have been making steady bookings for 2009. please email me on greg4bs@aol.com. Apart from weddings 2008 is a busy year with many weddings, sports events and music festivals to fill my summer. Towards the end of the year I am planning to take my family on a photographic holiday to Cuba for two weeks of independent travel around the gem of a country.
